WINNER IN THE THL K-LABORATORY BUILDING INVITED COMPETITION – TEHOLAB CHOSEN

Our team proposal “TeHoLab” for the new special laboratory building for THL (The National Institute for Health and Welfare) was chosen as one of the two winners in the invited competition. The results were announced April 18th in Helsinki.  After six weeks redevelopment phase Senate Properties selected  “TeHoLab” for the  implementation design.

The new K-building will be built on the site of an old D-building (former animal store). The THL Campus consists of several different administrative and research buildings – the oldest dating back to 1960´s.

The complex building and logistics program proposal is unique and flexible. Asymmetrically stretched H-shape  building is linked to the existing campus with various different floor levels through a multilevel stair-hall.
