THL K-Building Laboratory, Helsinki

The new K-Building “TeHoLab” is a special laboratory building for THL: The National Institute for Health and Welfare.

The THL Campus consists of several different administrative and research buildings – the oldest dating back to the 1960s. The new K-building is built on the site of an old D-building (a former animal shelter).

The complex and demanding program required unique and flexible solutions. Asymmetrically stretched the H-shape building is linked to the existing campus across different floor levels.
