The rational architecture of the 1970s provided a flexible framework for transforming a geriatric hospital into a modern senior centre in Myllypuro, Helsinki. Aptly the article was written by Karita Rytivaara who researches the fading architectural legacy of the 60s and 70s.

A nice surprise was an interview with Mari Sairanen, the Director of the Myllypuro Senior Centre, praising how the users were involved in every design meeting.
